Review by Afzal Ahmed Syed

This is a collection by a creative and contemporary poet. He has written that "a poet doesn't have poetry but sadness". What is this sadness? Is this " I was a blank page, something could be written upon me but

it was the wish of my lord to fold me and make a horse toy out of me" or the feeling that "we have not fallen from the heights, but from depth to depths"? In this collection, you will find a girl with the eyes of a superconductor, and the day the poet meets her "The birds will have nothing to say". The poet doesn't write his name on the poems written for this girl. The girl to whom he advises "Not to give lessons of courage in love". The girl who asked him to write a  beautiful poem/Nazm "Mai dekhna chahta hun (I want to see)". In this collection, you can observe the manifestation of Nature in "Sad Para (hundred pieces)", "Tenduvaa (leopard)", "Kolachi (related to Karachi)", and other poems or Nazms. By remembering "Rosa Park (an American activist, and the first lady of civil rights)" (through a Nazm written by Arslan Ahmed), we can overcome the oppression of racial discrimination. We can identify "Ulte Insan (Invert Humans)" who are exploiting our planet Earth. Feeling poverty, " We can feel pity on the pieces of bread lying in a Chungaer (straw tray) and the grains of rice falling from a plate". One can visit "Shakir Ali Museum" and one can arrive at "Shahdara sai asman tak (from Shahdara to Sky)" traveling through jungles. Let's see how Arslan Ahmed is passing through the highway of poetry "Royal tag tuxedo pehne (wearing a royal tag tuxedo)"

A comment by an emerging Urdu-Punjabi poet, Naveed Iqbal:

Summary: He saw this book in someone's library, so he grabbed it and read it all the way home until the bus driver turned off the lights. He wants young poets to come up with such observations and analyses of their surroundings and express them in their poetry regardless of the type of poem. Such poems show the knowledge and wisdom of a poet.

Composition of the book:

It has three divisions:

1. Hawa ka zor (Pressure of Air)
A collection of 49 Nasri Nazmen / Prose Poems
2. Khus o Khashak (Dried leaves and straws)
Collection of 41 Free verse Poems
3. Mitti Sona (Soil Is gold)
Consists of 25 Poems with 10 verses written in the Novel Coronavirus Years (waba kai dino ki nazmen)

Writing such a quantity of quality poems is really a feat. Let, 's go through one of the masterpieces from HAWA KA ZOR to analyze and observe the justification of such reviews. View of the Author about the book:

This book perfectly contains the manifestations of protest against social wrongdoings or we can say that it is written by a man with a living body and living soul as "life always protests against cruelties". From romance to environment, history to future, this book is a universal voyage that captivates readers across all walks of life. With the poet’s vibrant spirit and living essence at its core, this collection transforms thoughts, emotions, and keen observations into timeless poetry. Combining profound knowledge, sharp reasoning, and creative mastery, the book stands as a testament to the human condition, the fight against social wrongs, and the enduring hope for a better world. The poet was successful in expressing his thoughts, emotions, fine observations, knowledge, reasoning, and creativity to write successful poetry.
